Christian Students Uniting and the Australian Student Christian Movement are collaborating to bring this exciting new author to Sydney for a book launch.
The book is In Wisdom and in Passion, by Rev. John Queripel, and the author will be attending the event for a live book signing.
In this book, Rev. Queripel compares and contrasts the Buddha and the Christ, and the respective faiths they each founded.
It asks such questions as:
~ How do such faiths enter into dialogue, so necessary in our fractured world?
~ What do Buddha in deep meditation and Christ, with a deep yearning for the justice of the reign of God, say to each other, and to us?
~ What commonalities and differences do they share as those in whose name new faiths were founded?
